To enable you to fully realise the benefits of a Diploma of Business, there are multiple options to achieve graduation. The table below explains the differing options, and how you can complete your Diploma.

Facilitated part time course
Classroom activities conducted either in person (if in SE QLD) or participating in online virtual classrooms.
The part time course will involve four modules over two years. There is a module intake in January and July.
Facilitated full-time course
Classroom activities conducted either in person (if in SE QLD) or participating in online virtual classrooms.
The full-time course will involve four modules over one year. There is a module 1 intake in January and July. It is expected that students on this learning plan are able to commit to 20-30 hours a week of studying or assessments.
Online, self paced learning
This mode offers full flexibility in that students wil complete eLearning only which can be conducted in any breaks. Using our state of the are learner management system, students can complete classes on the go.
As this study option is self paced, students will be required to complete 12 units of copetency (including the core subjects, and electives). This is entirely up to the available time for the student but an take anywhere from 1 to 3 years.

Facilitated Courses

Conducted in virtual, or in person classrooms, the facilitated course is the best way to immerse yourself in the learning. You will be encouraged to form teams, conduct your assessments, and achieve your educational aspirations. Each module runs over 2 to 4 days (split into day or night classes) and encompasses the learning and assessments. Lectures are all recorded so if you cannot make the class, it will be available on the learner management system the following day.

Units of Competency

To successfully graduate with a Diploma in Business, you will be required to complete 12 units of competency. The Facilitated part and full-time courses are fixed in their Units of Competency as this allows the learning to be thematic, targeted and engaging. Mr Bryce Turner

After a 15-year career in the Australian Defence Force, Bryce transitioned into the high-pace world of business and management consulting. Since then, Bryce has purchased or executed from startup three businesses of varying sizes and products. A graduate of the University of New England, the University of New South Wales, an ongoing Master of Business Administration student at the University of Queensland, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Bryce is uniquely positioned to lead our business and leadership faculties.

Can I apply for credit transfer?

If you have completed an accredited qualification or recognised units of study with a Registered Training Organisation, you may be eligible for a credit transfer.

Trainers will need to review if your accredited qualification or recognised units are still within a current training package or are equivalent to the current training package or units. Discuss your previous educational qualifications with your trainer to see if this is a possibility for you.

Can I apply for recognition of prior learning?

RPL is available to any learner who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within the qualification. Please contact us for more information on this process and how to apply.

What are the entry requirements for the course?

There is no age limit, however applicants should a minimum of two years of experience in the workplace to allow them to participate in discussions on leadership, teamwork and business processes. Any students under the age of 18 will require parental consent to enrol.

Mature age and students with prior learning and experience are encouraged to apply. If you cant evidence previous Diploma level studies, or the completion of year 12, you will undertake Language, Literacy and Numeracy testing as part of the enrolment process.

This is not a barrier to entry but will allow the instructors to gauge your literacy and numeracy skills and conduct adjustments of your assessment requirements. This course features relatively simple mathematical requirements (limited formula manipulation and ratios).
